A Fierce Encounter has Broken Out In Kishtwar

Date:

A gunfight has erupted between Terrorists and Army in Dul area of Kishtwar district today morning.

Indian Army troops while carrying out an intelligence based operation have established contact with terrorists and challenged them in general area of Dul in Kishtwar in early hours of 10 Aug 2025. Heavy Gunfire has been exchanged.

Operation under progress.

Two terrorists have been challenged and are hiding in a previously made hideout. Possibility of third terrorist cannot be ruled out.

(PS: This area in Kishtwar is North of Chenab and a road from Batote cuts towards kishtwar. High hills, with more than 30° gradient with thick vegetation makes it one of the toughest terrain in the world to operate. Terrorists generally make hideouts alongside the cliff where a track from the hideout runs into a nalla making it extremely challenging to engage them)
