Date:

HAL signed a contract with HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH, Germany, at the ongoing Dubai Air Show 2025, for the Transfer of Design ToT and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) including Manufacturing & Repair capability for Obstacle Avoidance System (OAS), and Degraded Visual Environment (DVE) for helicopter platforms.

The contract was signed by Mr. Ravi Prakash, Executive Director (HAL-Korwa), and Mr. Eugen Maier, Head of Sales, Airborne Solutions, HENSOLDT, in the presence of Mr. Ravi K, Director (Operations), HAL, Mr. Andleeb Shadman, Head of HENSOLDT Business Development for the India Region, and other senior officials.

Dr. D. K. This agreement will ensure that India develops and owns a LiDAR-based helicopter Obstacle Avoidance System—an advanced capability that only a few countries have mastered. HAL and HENSOLD will collaborate on the design, manufacture, integration, and testing of this system, with the potential for export of OAS and DVE.”
