- SustainableDevelopment – The G20 will focus on accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Most of the goals so far are not being met. The UN’s 20 focus areas for sustainable development have found few donors.
- GlobalGovernance – The G20 has focused on reforming global governance to make institutions more responsive to developing countries. This may get some push with India and Brazil being the most affected. India will advocate for the expansion of the UN Security Council.
- Health – The G20 has emphasized increasing the capacity of developing countries to deal with health emergencies. However, this was largely disregarded during COVID. India was the only country to provide substantial help to others. A framework to handle this better in the future may be proposed.
- Debt – The G20 has been addressing vulnerabilities related to the debts of developing countries. Nothing major is likely to happen.
- GenderEquality – The G20 has focused on promoting gender equality. While some voices may raise issues like incidents in Iran, what is happening in Afghanistan is largely being ignored.
- Voice of DevelopingCountries – The G20 aims to strengthen the voice of developing countries in global decision-making processes. India and Brazil will definitely emphasize this issue.
- Peace – The G20 has focused on promoting peace in global conflicts, particularly the war in Ukraine and the issue of #Palestine. These topics will likely be discussed in detail, and a way forward may emerge.
