Lt Col Arun Chauhan (R)

A proud veteran of Op Parakram, Op Rhino, and Op Rakshak, as well as operations along the Northern Borders, he has a distinguished military career. Awarded a Mention-in-Dispatch for gallantry by the President of India on January 26, 2009, he also served as a UN Peacekeeper in Sudan and South Sudan from June 2011 to September 2012. Holding an MSc in International Strategy & Diplomacy from the London School of Economics & Political Science, UK, and a Diploma in RADAR Operations (Air Defence) from ETI, IAF; he has led counter-terror operations in high-altitude areas of North Kashmir, the Northern Borders, and insurgency-prone regions of Northeast India.
