India National Defence Doctrine To Include Counter-Terrorism: Raksha Mantri

Date:

Visiting the Bhuj Air Force Station, India’s Raksha Mantri (Defense Minister), Shri Rajnath Singh, declares the country’s “Fight against Terrorism” a part of its national defence doctrine. Addressing the personnel of the Indian Air Force, he passionately congratulated them on the success of the recent “Operation Sindoor,” which was helmed by the IAF in joint collaboration with the Indian Armed Forces. Furthermore, he called out the neighboring country for sanctioning terrorism. Shri Rajnath Singh also highlighted the importance of adopting a new and much stricter stance against terrorism, stating that “Attacking and eliminating terrorism is the new normal of New India.”

Raksha Mantri also reaffirmed the country’s strategic resolve to dismantle terrorism at its roots—both domestically and across borders. He went on to invite global powers to take a united stand against terrorism and also informed the IAF personnel how the world had appreciated India’s action against terror with “Operation Sindoor.”

“India’s fight against terrorism is not just a matter of security, it has now become a part of the national defence doctrine, and we will root out this hybrid & proxy warfare”

“Our actions were just a trailer, we will show the full picture, if need be. ‘Attacking and eliminating terrorism’ is the new normal of New India” – Shri rajnath singh, raksha mantri

India Has Agreed To a Conditional Ceasefire – Raksha Mantri

Addressing the topic of the ceasefire, met by both countries, Shri Rajnath Singh took this opportunity to clarify India’s position. “The Ceasefire is conditional,” he stated, highlighting that Pakistan has to watch its actions if it wants peace with India. Putting the neighbor on probation of sorts, the Raksha Mantri also called out the Pakistani Armed Forces to demonstrate behavioral change if they want peace; otherwise, India is free to retaliate with the harshest means possible, he warned.

IMF Funds At Risk of Misappropriation: Raksha Mantri On Pakistan’s Efforts To Rebuild Terror Infrastructure

In his address, Shri Rajnath Singh further criticized the Pakistani government, as he pointed out that the neighbor has already started to rebuild the terrorist infrastructure that was targeted and surgically destroyed during “Operation Sindoor.” He called on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to re-evaluate the $1 billion assistance it has provided. This is in line with a few open sources that claim Pakistan has reportedly allocated approximately ₹14 crore to UN-designated terrorist Masood Azhar, under the guise of financial support.

The Raksha Mantri was full of adulation for the Indian Air Force, more particularly, its decisive role in “Operation Sindoor,” where it neutralized terror strongholds within 23 minutes. He also claimed that the success of the operation has shown not only Pakistan but the entire world that this is New India, and we have zero tolerance for terrorism. Shri Rajnath Singh also informed the nation that IAF now possesses excellent capabilities to execute a tactical strike on any strategic assets across Pakistan, with precision, without even having to cross international borders. He underscored the importance of the “Make in India” program and the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives as the cornerstone of India’s defense manufacturing capabilities.

Strategic Vision for Future Warfare

In concluding his speech, the Raksha Mantri also alluded to the government’s pledge to furnish cutting-edge weapon platforms and infrastructure to the Tri-forces. He emphasizes the growing prowess of the nation in defense manufacturing, both in the public and private sectors. Furthermore, he reminded the IAF personnel of the Whole of Nation approach, where civil and military institutions can work together. Alluding to projects like the Aatmanirbhar Bharat, he stated how far India has come in defense manufacturing and how the government is prioritizing indigenous development, thus reducing its reliance on foreign powers.

“We are becoming exporters from importers; and this is just the beginning” – Shri Rajnath Singh, Raksha Mantri
