Established in 1764, the Corps has dedicated itself to decades of national advancement, growth, sacrifice, and commitment in both war and peace, all while upholding its slogan, Sarve Santu Niramaya, which translates to “let everyone be free from disease.”
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and Chief of Army Staff Gen Manoj Pande attended a celebration of the Esprit-de-Corps of AMC, as well as an event in New Delhi to commemorate Raising Day. During the occasion, which was attended by over 700 AFMS veterans as well as civil and service leaders, a video honoring the distinguished achievement of the AFMS was also screened.
On AMC Raising Day, hundreds of Officers, JCOs, and other ranks of the Army Medical Corps are honored for their accomplishments, which have positively impacted the lives of veterans, families, and members of the armed forces. In every area of medical treatment provided as part of UN Peace Keeping Missions and HADR operations abroad, the Corps has excelled.
In its 260th year, the AMC has set a standard for professionalism, bravery, and compassion above and beyond the call of duty in its pursuit of providing the best possible combat medical care as well as exceptional, cutting-edge peacetime medical care. It has also relentlessly advanced the ultimate goal of “Swastha Bharat, Viksit Bharat.”[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column]
