HAL Hosts ‘Tejasvi’ National Women’s Conference Championing Women’s Leadership

The Forum of Women in Public Sector – HAL in collaboration with the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (B) Families Welfare Association organised the first-ever National Women’s Conference  ‘Tejasvi,’ on the theme “Women Who Create Radiance at Home and in the Workplace,” at HAL Management Academy today. The event celebrated the multifaceted role women play across personal and professional spheres.
Ms. Manisha Chandra, IAS, Joint Secretary (Aero), Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In her keynote address, Ms. Chandra congratulated HAL for its role in the nation’s progress. She highlighted the role of women at home and in the workplace and described women as Radiant, Authentic, Dedicated, Intelligent, Adaptable, Nurturing, Creative and Empathetic (RADIANCE).
During the event, a special Golden Jubilee Postal Cover was released to mark HAL (B) Families Welfare Association’s 50 years of welfare work in Bengaluru and nearby areas in the presence of Dr Shubha Sunil, Chief Patron, HAL (B) Families Welfare Association.
Eminent speakers, including PadmaShri Awardee Dr. Vijayalakshmi Deshmane, Oncologist and Surgeon; Dr. Bhavani Rao, Dean of Amrita Vishwapeetam and UNESCO Chair on Gender Equality and Women’s empowerment and Ms. Satyabhama Gupta, Partner at Gupta Nayar & Co., shared their personal experiences and professional journey by providing insights on leadership, wellbeing of women and resilience, sustainable finance and  work-life balance.
Over 350 women delegates from HAL, Central defence establishments and other CPSEs across India participated in the event, which featured insightful and interactive sessions and networking opportunities for the transformation of organisation, families and societies.
